When people ask me why I paint, my first thought is painting makes me happy.

I started the journey of becoming an artist as a way to experience personal growth. As I explored the world through art, I soon realized how much joy the process of creating something is. I am also intrigued with the sense that I will never stop learning. I walk away with something from each piece.

After spending two years in Taiwan, my husband and I returned to Monterey Peninsula where I studied under Ramanoos Mattonen.

The classes were as much a social gathering, as a place to share and get feedback on your work in a non-competitive environment. She also wisely said, “Don’t be your own best collector.” Here I am at Venture Gallery! I could not be prouder.
