Romantic Impressionism describes my love and interpretation of the nature I see.

It is the light on the path, the reflections on the sunset, or perhaps the delicate color changes in the foam of the ocean. Nature constantly attracts, surprises, and challenges me. I believe the happiness I feel while painting is reflected in my work. I love using curves, and softness in my brushstrokes, along with bold colors and contrasts when I design my paintings. My hope is that the viewer will see my subjects as a hopeful vista of life’s journey.

I have studied art since the age of 10. I have lived in Ohio, New York, and California and studied in all of these states. Some of the schools I have studied at are The Toledo Museum of Art, The Art Students League, New York School of Interior Design, Diablo Valley College, and Las Positas College.

Gallery and museum exhibitions include The Art Students League of New York, Remax Gallery Benicia, Moraga Library Gallery, Cayucos Gallery (best in show), Civic Arts Gallery in Walnut Creek, Monterey Museum of Art, Plein Air Painters Association in Watsonville, and CCAA exhibits at the Sally Griffin Center and Pacific Grove Art Center. I have participated in many juried competitions most recently winning 1st place in CCAA’s 2021 all member show. In 2022 I was accepted into the Oil Painters of America.
